The efforts of Portugal's International Temperance Association were tremendously successful in drawing large numbers of people to the Health Expos. Over the course of six months in 2003, four Expos took place in Portugal's most important cities.

Pictured here is the Porto Expo, which drew 1700 attendees over five days. The audience for each lecture completely filled the four-hundred-seat auditorium!

The picture provides a clear image of the enthusiasm the Porto volunteers had for their work. The volunteers loved knowing that their interactions with the Expos attendees would enable those people to leave the Expo with a better understanding of how to improve both their health and their quality of life!
