Portugal 2003

In the Summer of 2003 the International Temperance Association started a successful Health Expo outreach program throughout the country. Within half a year, there were four Expos organized in strategic cities to give to as many churches as possible an opportunity to get involved and observe the potential of this program. Each of the Expos was running very well, and many groups have already decided to continue the program in many more locations next year.

Glimpses from the Expo in Porto. With about 1,700 visits within 5 days and a packed full 400 seat auditorium for every health talk, this Expo was a good success. Several follow up seminars were organized as well.

The involvement of the volunteers was very enthusiastic. It was exciting to see on each site several churches moving together in harmonious action. Many helpers in the teams realized, that their help was not only a blessing to others, but that by helping somebody else, they were just as much blessed for themselves.
